Working with me as a Physical Therapy patient is a dynamic process. To me, quality care means personalized attention for the entire duration of your session. I don’t use traditional modalities such as hot packs or electrical stimulation where
the patient remains passive. Instead I use many different facets of movement to reduce inflammation, pain and issues associated with your condition. Patients rarely require more than one session per week unless it’s an acute medical condition. Treatment with me is about getting you moving again with freedom and
ease.
Our work together is collaborative and will alternate between activities and exercises, where you are active, and hands-on bodywork when I am actively moving you. I’ll help you learn the difference between ease, effort, strain and pain.Using these distinctions will help you improve faster, and are the basis for healthy movement. Injured or chronic areas of the body heal if they are an integrated
component of action.
I will develop a home exercise program for you based on who you are and your present condition. The exercise program will progress as you improve. Your program may also address other conditions that I feel impact upon your current situation. I evaluate you from a holistic perceptive. Utilizing your skeleton for support is a determining factor in balance, reducing injuries and performing at your highest level. Skeletal support is a component and the core of movement — there is no such thing as a static, perfect posture. Life is about movement, and your physical therapy treatment program should reflect that.
