Miracle worker "After the session, my head and neck still aching from the days of pain, but on the way home I could already feel that the muscle lock had eased a lot. Last night I did the tush-to-wall/legs-up exercises. I slept great. This morning I felt FINE!!! And I stand up better! And I can think of the world outside again now that I'm not wrapped in pain.Thank you so much for working wonders and pulling on all the right places!"

"As usual, your recommendations have proved excellent. The shoulder is becoming stronger, the tendonitis less painful. I've been working with taking the ASICs forward - much more stability in sirsasana and standing poses, more depth in seated poses, greater ease in backbends...... Happy spring. "

" Karen Donelson’s kinesthetic intelligence is in a class by itself. Her years of formal education: physical therapy and the feldenkrais method, give language to a hap tic sense that I can only describe as remarkable. She speaks through her exquisite three-dimensional touch and unique observing eye. I have benefited greatly from our work together. Karen is a scientist and a healer; she stays curious. "

"Karen is gifted. From the tips of my toes to the top of my head, a hands on Feldenkrais session with her is better than any massage or chiropractic treatment I have ever had. Her background as a dancer, athlete and physical therapist enhance her abilities to understand and improve my physicality. Within one minute of my first treatment she was able to see where I needed help. Her kindness and comforting ministrations coupled with specific mind/body exercises have helped me enormously. I am an old lady who wants to stay on her toes. Thank you Karen for helping me help myself. "

"To experience Karen’s work is to know the joy of moving freely without pain. Her training as a dancer, physical therapist and Feldenkrais practitioner meld to guide me and encourage me in my efforts to heal. We work together exploring the impulse of body and brain that initiate movement. We find new pathways free of tension and wasted effort. It is exciting, strengthening, and fulfilling, a complete healing experience."
Joan Conner (dancer, hip replacement)
"I was referred to Karen by a very kind friend who saw me limping. I spoke with Karen, was pleased by her manner, and was soon limping off to my first appointment. My feet had been so screwed up (hallux rigidus) for such a long time. I had no faith and little hope. This was in March. The therapy is, at first, mystifying. I couldn't figure out what she was doing or how what she had me do would help my feet and this was in spite of an idea I'd held that surely the body above my ankles must have something to do with my feet and that changing how the above the ankles part behaved would be good for the feet. And only last weekend, at the end of August, wearing not quite meant for walking shoes I was able to wheel my elderly mother for more than a mile through the not quite handicapped accessible paths of a rural park. Up hills of sand and pine needles, across concrete and flagstones. And nothing hurt afterwards. Amazing.
So, foot pain sufferers, see Karen. She understands feet and she is kind, smart, funny, and gentle."
